heute im Eigentum der DBU (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt). Er besteht aus gro\u00dffl\u00e4chigen Fichten- und Kiefernw\u00e4ldern, trockenen Heiden und Moorbirkenw\u00e4ldern. Au\u00dferdem befindet sich in diesem Gebiet eines der wenigen nennenswerten \u00dcbergangs- und Schwingrasenmoore in Th\u00fcringen. Der Wald wurde ehemals durch Anlage von Entw\u00e4sserungsgr\u00e4ben gro\u00dffl\u00e4chig zur forstlichen Nutzung trockengelegt. So geht es vielen (ehemaligen) Moorfl\u00e4chen des Freistaats.<\/p><p>Vor diesem Hintergrund initiiert und plant die Station immer wieder hydrologische Gutachten, mit dem die Wassersituation in einem Gebiet besser eingesch\u00e4tzt werden kann und aus denen beispielsweise geeignete Ma\u00dfnahmen f\u00fcr die Wiedervern\u00e4ssung ausgew\u00e4hlter Fl\u00e4chen im P\u00f6llwitzer Wald abgeleitet werden k\u00f6nnen. Auf diese Weise wird auch anderen gr\u00f6\u00dferen Projektvorhaben zugearbeitet und die Ma\u00dfgabe einiger Managementpl\u00e4ne erf\u00fcllt. Das Ziel ist meist der Erhalt des Lebensraumtyps und seiner spezifischen Artzusammensetzung oder die Vergr\u00f6\u00dferung des Moork\u00f6pers und dadurch die Fixierung von Kohlendioxid aus der Atmosph\u00e4re \u2013 ein wichtiger Beitrag zum Klimaschutz.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-656870b gallery-spacing-custom
